first_img1 Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson says he is relishing the first-team football he is getting on loan at West Ham.The 22-year-old joined the Hammers on a season-long loan during the summer, in the hope that he would gain more playing time after making just 14 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season.Jenkinson has already appeared eight times for Sam Allardyce’s side, who are defying the odds and currently sit in the Champions League places.And the Arsenal full-back confesses he is loving his time at Upton Park and has big plans for the season.“It has been positive and a great run for the team,” Jenkinson told the club’s official site. “We’re unbeaten in five games so that’s a good sign of where this club’s going and personally it’s the first time I’ve had a run of games in a couple of years now and I’m really happy with it.“I’m really finding my feet and trying to contribute defensively and going forward as well.??
